Story

In 1989, Kathryn Tremblay and Toni Guimaraes, who were not only business partners but also life partners, embarked on a journey to revolutionize the staffing industry.

Altis Recruitment is a leading independent staffing firm in Canada, providing recruitment services and HR support across various sectors since 1989. As a certified diverse supplier and Women's Business Enterprise, we create job opportunities for Canada's talented workforce.

With 180 team members, we support 2,900 clients in IT, construction, engineering, finance, accounting, and healthcare, delivering over 8,500 high-performing candidates annually in the private and public sectors. We're particularly proud of being a top staffing supplier to the Government of Canada.

Altis Newcomer Program

Altis Recruitment’s Newcomer Program In 2020, we brought back our Newcomer Program to help new Canadians get the experience they need to enter the workforce. To date, 90% of our program members have secured full-time employment in their respective fields.

CAMH and The Royal

Mental health is very important to Altis Recruitment, and it means a lot to us that we can support Ontario’s two primary health emergency room and research clinics.

Aboriginal Services Program

CAMH’s clinical services for Aboriginal people include traditional rituals, songs, and dances. We’ve donated the materials and resources needed to craft hand drums and smudging kits, purchase plants, and host pow wow events.

YMCA Greater Vancouver

At our Vancouver office, we can see the YMCA’s impact first-hand. They provide necessary services and support some of those affected by Canada’s biggest economic disparities. To show our appreciation, we’re proud donors to the Greater Vancouver branch.

Prostate Cancer Awareness

During hockey season, we organize Toni’s Hockey Pool, in memory of our late Co-Founder Toni Guimaraes. To date, we’ve raised over $145,000 in support of Advanced Prostate Cancer research.

Christie Lake Kids

Every summer, we fund two cabins at Christie Lakes Kids’ camp so that twelve children can develop the skills and confidence that only camp can provide. This is a tradition close to our founders’ hearts.
